A very worthy upgrade
Is the Incredible 2 a dual core processor, no. Is it really fast, you bet. Is it 4G, again, no, but I'll take battery longevity and a beautifully slim profile over a few minutes of super speed every time. And the clarity. What can I say-after all, it is a phone-a device built for the purpose of communication.
And you don't need to pay VZ retail price for the upgrade. It's a lot less right here on Amazon and some retail stores will even match price.
Those are my reasons for calling the Incredible 2 a "Very Worthy Upgrade".

My Reviews

I just got mine yesterday. I really have to say I am totally impressed with it. I've played with iPad and it is definitely cool; I also owned two Kindles (one regular, one DX). My prior experience with "tablets", as such, other than the Kindle, was a cheap Chinese knock-off called "ePad", bought from a seller on Amazon maybe 9 months ago and returned promptly. This was with an older version of Android (1.6 I believe). It's worth recounting a few of the highlights of that unit's performance for contrast with this Kyros, in 2011, in the <$200 segment. It had a resistive touch screen (ok). The screen's plastic was wavy and bowed in random, odd places all around. The case for the unit was made of cheap plastic and the silver paint was chipped or just peeling off around the edges. The battery, after charging for a full 24h, lasted for 10 minutes. The battery life on subsequent charges decreased precipitously until a full charge only lasted about 2 minutes (not joking, not exaggerating). No apps could be installed whatsoever. Flash Player could not be installed. No firmware updates available. It would not recognize an SD card. There was no way to organize MP3s other than in one big long single directory. It was, in short, absolute useless garbage, and I believe I paid about $40 more for that than I did for the Coby Kyros. That thing was a proper cheap Chinese knock-off, and was an abysmal failure of the marketplace to provide any kind of meaningful competition to the far more expensive iPad.

Hey, come ye, come all! The reason that I say this is because of a proposition that I am making. My proposition (OK people, take a deep breath. Aaah! OK. Now, exhale with me ..Aaa) that I am making is concerning the BlackBerry 9530. The situation is that/ how the "new" cell phone has many different features (of course). I'm writing to complain about how you guys had brought down the pricing on it in which would make it more feasable. Not that I am complaining about the new marked down price (because anyone would like a good discount). But my personal issue with it is to say that I had budgeted on it the first time. I had to lower my expectation. But, humorously, I have been calculated my spending on other thing "in" the hundreds (that in which the BlackBerry costs). But not to leave you with a bad taste in your mouth about the whole situation, but, in future references I hope that you guys make the "right" decision (just to humor you Lol?). --From yours Truly K-love/Aka Black wolf man!

This unit is a workhorse that will get real jobs done and then some. If you need a gaming platform, I suggest that you spend the extra $300.00 and get a Xoom or I-Pad. Otherwise for a utilitarian drafthorse, this is it.

I must tell you i heard alot of negative critism about this product with it's operating system,but boy was i surprised when i recieved mine an began using it .This thing rocks with its new upgrade,i don't know what the first OS was running like but it must have been pretty bad judging from all the negative comments.I'm not a computer wizard i'm just the average person who knows what they want and i am blessed to be able to undestand what hardware on systems work an what doesn't and i must tell you this work of art is truly worth every cent,and every reasonable cent at that.I know there are others out ther that are better but in this price range this can't be beat.I was planning to change the OS from the get get go,but with my simple computing taste this OS would really need to give me a major reason why that decision should be still neccesary.
